Light Environmental just completed a reactor system utilizing Dupont technology for a customer in Texas. The technology combines the use of Optipore resin to remove soluble hydrocarbons for water and air which in industry settings can include refinery odors from products being made for retail marketing or in the wastewater treatment operations for water reuse or discharge.
The resin is re-generated utilizing low or high-pressure steam instead of utilizing carbon which would require destruction.
The use of the Optipore Resin over carbon provides a much more economical means of soluble hydrocarbon recovery, reuse, the resin can be utilized for years to come through the steaming process.
This includes the BTEX, DRO, GRO and most any soluble hydrocarbon found in industrial settings. This allows and treats vapor and liquid phase operations.
